THE SECRET OF SUCCESS
It's the early 1960s and boy wonder Max Cooper, the only son of a single mother and with only his high school diploma to recommend him, is starting a revolution in labor management systems. A revolution that will take him all the way to the White House–and back. Along the way, exciting and dangerous encounters with a sexy, chain-smoking movie actress, a crooked but charismatic labor boss, a golf-crazy Harvard economics professor, the FBI and the President himself fuel a growing passion for justice and democracy—and for the three women he loves.

THE RHYTHM METHOD
As the United States approaches the dawn of the 22nd century, one brave young woman named Jane gets pregnant and brings a complacent, conservative country to its knees. In the America of 2091, thousands of children live lives cut off from the rest of the world. They’re surplus to need in a country where two children are the limit, nuclear families are history, sexual freedom is in but birth control is definitely out. These “discards” are the dirty little secret no one in government wants to acknowledge. But the ruling “Do Nothing” Party hadn’t counted on Jane/2/117.

IN THE BEGINNING
Pope Roberto Bernardo is different from other popes—very different. He has kept his own name and eschews much of the pomp and circumstance of his sacred role. Locking horns with his more conservative secretary of state, he is determined to convene a Third Vatican Council that will tackle such perennially thorny issues as celibacy, birth control and marriage within the church.
Adam Zimmermann, a young Canadian priest and language teacher from Montreal, is content with his uneventful life in the Catholic church. But that life takes a radical turn when he falls in love with the beautiful Eva Poulin and is called to Rome to be the Pope’s private secretary. It is the beginning of a remarkable friendship between the two men, and the end of many of the Church’s most cherished conventions.
