BIO
Charles Boyle was a graduate of Toronto Teachers College but got his most important education from his work. He gravitated from teaching to business systems, and for the twenty years before his retirement was corporate secretary of an active treatment hospital. There he was known for his colourful and informative minutes, annual reports, nasty letters to government when necessary and
laid-back management and labour relations style. He had always enjoyed writing and turned to writing novels on his retirement. He was working on his sixth book, Salvation, when he died in October 2020 of congestive heart failure at the age of 94. He had two children with his wife Joan, a well-known teacher of fiber arts. The couple lived on the St. Lawrence River in the historic town of Prescott, Ontario.
